Ice and Tree limbs don’t mix
January in Colorado means ice and snow, great for fun up in the mountains and on the sledding hills around town, but bad for your tree’s health. The weight of snow and ice can effect deciduous species like maple tree and ash trees; but the real damage goes to Evergreens, species that don’t lose their foliage during the winter. One easy tip to decrease the chance of limb breakage is to use a long stick, or a broom to knock off snow from limbs. You can also call the experts at Royal Tree to do this as well.
